We also make it our priority to not keep patients on a long waiting list for an appointment as we understand the urgency of some appointments and we are prepared to do home visits on request.

Therese researches and sources wigs from around the world. She travels extensively, to ensure that she keeps on top of the current trends. In the past she has been to China, London, America, Germany and Thailand. She also designs an innovative range of wigs for her own Tresses brand which are custom made to ensure that every client has the widest choice to choose from..
There are various styles available and patients can choose a style and colour to suit them. The cosmetician will make every effort to match colour and style to their own hair. All of the staff are very experienced in providing this service and can also advise patients on how best to style and care for their wig. In addition to providing the wig Therese and her staff will remove the patients own hair and fit the wig for them, cutting and shaping the wig to fit the individual patient’s requirements.
Training and Staff Experience
Therese and her staff are very skilled in this field of work. There are seven qualified hairdressers who work in Therese’s team Their qualifications include diplomas in cutting and styling of wigs, taking moulds of people’s heads, designing a wig from taking a head measurement, making a mould, working out the density of the hair to the very way the hair would fall from the parting. They also completed the Trevor Sorbie, ‘Cutting and styling of wigs’ course. At the moment Therese is undergoing the ‘Macmillan cancer support certificate’ developing her knowledge and skills in psycho-oncology. er own label. The success of ‘Tresses Hairpiece Boutique’ is going from strength to strength. There have been many articles written in various papers including Ulster Tattler, Irish News, Newsletter, Belfast Telegraph, Newry Reporter, Bambridge Chronicle, The Newry Democrat, The Times. The Boutique has also received coverage from radio and television programmes such as Gerry Anderson’s show on BBC, Ulster Television News, RTE Nationwide. The latest headline to seize the attention of the press concerns an award Therese has received, acknowledging her dedication to providing healthcare services.
She has recently received an MBE award from her majesty to recognise her ongoing innovation and work in this area.
